The ten-yearly review of Quatro Barras’ City Plan reassessed its framework for territorial planning and city development management, taking into account state and metropolitan regulations.

The work involved data collection, reconciliation of cartographic bases, the production of thematic maps, diagnosis and technical proposals. 

 

The execution process included extensive public participation and input from various sectors of civil society and public authorities. To this end, events such as meetings, workshops, and public hearings were held.

Some of the key issues identified included environmental constraints, historical and cultural heritage, local economy, and tourism potential. These aspects were used as guiding principles for the design of Quatro Barras' sustainable development model, resulting in the revision of urban legislation.
