The revision of the Director Plan of Araucária included the establishment of a diagnosis, guidelines and proposals, developed collectively through public events and technical analysis by consultancy and city hall teams.

Some of the strategies applied were: mapping scenarios of urban evolution, macro-zoning and zoning, among other methods to ensure sustainable municipal development.

Actions were proposed in the areas of health, education, social assistance, housing, the environment and mobility. Ultimately, a Plan of Action and Investments was delivered, encompassing urban and institutional requalification, institutionalization of the Plan, and the development of legislative instruments for environmental protection policies and land and housing regularization.
